This free jawline analyzer measures two things that together describe how defined a jaw reads in a photo: how much your jaw tapers in from your cheekbones, and how sharply the two sides of your jaw meet at the chin.

About the Jawline Analyzer

Taper is your jaw width divided by your cheekbone width, and the classical reference sits around 0.86, meaning the jaw is normally a little narrower than the cheekbones. Chin angle is the angle formed at your chin point between the left and right jaw contours, referenced against roughly 108 degrees, where a smaller angle reads as a more pointed chin and a larger one as a blunter, squarer chin. Taper contributes 60% of the jawline score and chin angle the remaining 40%. That score is then 15% of your overall Harmony Score, alongside symmetry, proportions, eye spacing, and cheekbones.

Two honest caveats. A dense beard obscures the true jaw contour and will usually read as a softer jawline than you have, so measure clean-shaven or with short stubble for the most accurate result. And chin-up or chin-down camera angles change this measurement more than almost any other on the face, so shoot level with your eyes. The report translates your specific numbers into grooming and collar choices rather than recommending any procedure. Analysis runs entirely in your browser and your photo is never uploaded.

Facial Symmetry

A midline is drawn through your nose bridge and chin, then 9 landmark pairs (eye corners, brow ends, nostrils, mouth corners, jaw contour) are compared across it, both horizontal distance and vertical height.

Facial Thirds & Proportions

Your face is split into vertical thirds (hairline→brow, brow→nose base, nose base→chin) and scored on how evenly they divide (60%), plus your face length ÷ cheekbone width against the classical 1.618 golden-ratio reference (40%).

Eye Spacing & Canthal Tilt

The distance between your inner eye corners is compared to the width of one eye (the classical rule of fifths), and the angle from outer to inner eye corner measures canthal tilt.

Jawline Definition

Jaw width ÷ cheekbone width measures taper (60%), and the angle formed at your chin between the left and right jaw contours measures chin definition (40%).

Cheekbone Prominence

Honest limits: facial thirds, the golden ratio, and the rule of fifths are classical proportion heuristics, not validated science. Studies linking them to perceived attractiveness show mixed results. Scores also depend on photo angle and lighting. Treat this as a proportion-based estimate for self-styling and entertainment, not a psychological, medical, or beauty assessment. From it the tool measures jaw width at the gonial corners, cheekbone width at its widest horizontal point, and the angle formed at your chin between the two jaw contours. Jaw divided by cheekbone width gives the taper ratio, weighted at 60% of the jawline score, with the chin angle making up the other 40%.

What is a good jaw to cheekbone ratio?

The classical reference is about 0.86, a jaw slightly narrower than the cheekbones, which produces the taper most styling advice assumes. Ratios near 1.0 mean jaw and cheekbones are close to equal width, which reads as a square or rectangular lower face. Neither is better. They suit different haircuts, beard shapes, and glasses, which is what the report is actually for.

Can I improve my jawline?

Bone structure does not change with exercise, and chewing devices do not alter the underlying jaw geometry this tool measures. What genuinely changes how defined a jaw looks is body composition, a short boxed beard or defined stubble line, collar and neckline choices, and camera angle. The report gives styling guidance in those terms. It does not recommend cosmetic procedures.
