About the Cheekbone Analyzer

The first is your cheekbone width divided by your jaw width, referenced against about 1.14. This is the ratio that determines whether your cheekbones are the widest part of your face or whether your jaw competes with them, and it carries 60% of the cheekbone score. The second is cheekbone width divided by face length, referenced against about 0.72, which captures how broad the midface reads relative to how long the face is. That contributes the remaining 40%. Together they make up 15% of your overall Harmony Score.

What the numbers cannot tell you is how high the cheekbones sit, because vertical cheekbone position is the measurement most distorted by camera angle and lens distance, and reporting it from one 2D photo would be false precision. What they do tell you is genuinely useful for styling: whether to draw width toward the midface or away from it, where contour and highlight actually belong for your structure, and which glasses frame lines sit on the cheekbone rather than cutting across it. The analysis runs entirely in your browser, your photo is never uploaded, and the tool is for adults 18 and over.

How We Calculate Your Score

Facial Symmetry

A midline is drawn through your nose bridge and chin, then 9 landmark pairs (eye corners, brow ends, nostrils, mouth corners, jaw contour) are compared across it, both horizontal distance and vertical height.

Facial Thirds & Proportions

Your face is split into vertical thirds (hairline→brow, brow→nose base, nose base→chin) and scored on how evenly they divide (60%), plus your face length ÷ cheekbone width against the classical 1.618 golden-ratio reference (40%).

Eye Spacing & Canthal Tilt

The distance between your inner eye corners is compared to the width of one eye (the classical rule of fifths), and the angle from outer to inner eye corner measures canthal tilt.

Jawline Definition

Jaw width ÷ cheekbone width measures taper (60%), and the angle formed at your chin between the left and right jaw contours measures chin definition (40%).

Cheekbone Prominence

Cheekbone width ÷ jaw width (60%) and cheekbone width ÷ face length (40%) measure how strongly the midface projects relative to the lower face.

Honest limits: facial thirds, the golden ratio, and the rule of fifths are classical proportion heuristics, not validated science. Studies linking them to perceived attractiveness show mixed results. Scores also depend on photo angle and lighting. Treat this as a proportion-based estimate for self-styling and entertainment, not a psychological, medical, or beauty assessment. The word high usually describes vertical position, which this tool deliberately does not score, because head tilt and lens distance shift it too much to measure honestly from one photo.

Can makeup or a haircut change how prominent my cheekbones look?

Visually, yes, substantially. Contour placed under the cheekbone and highlight along the top of it simulate the shadow a more projected bone would cast. Volume at the temples and swept-back styles draw the eye upward and slim the midface, while heavy volume at the jaw does the opposite. The report gives placement guidance matched to your measured ratios rather than generic advice.

Why did my cheekbone score change between two photos?

Cheekbone width is measured horizontally, so any head rotation foreshortens one side and changes the ratio. A close-up wide-angle selfie also narrows the cheeks and widens the nose relative to a photo taken at arm's length. For a stable reading, take two or three straight-on photos at arm's length in even light and treat the middle value as your answer.
